Egypt continues to lead in import of Russian wheat in this agricultural year. From 1 July to 28 August Egypt has imported 1.4 mln tn of wheat, it is a 8% increase compared to the same period of the previous year.
According to the Grain Quality Assessment Center, Egypt has accounted for 13% of Russia’s grain export.
Turkey is the second largest importer of Russian wheat (10%). This country has imported 1.1 mln tn of grain (including 828 thous. tn of wheat), it is a 1% reduction compared to last year’s figure.
Vietnam ranks 3rd (5%) with a 10-fold increase of grain import (649 thous. tn).
Saudi Arabia ranks 4th (5%) with 507 thous. tn of barley imported.
