Russia Sharply Increased Export To India

For the first half of 2018 non-resource non-energy export has increased by 64% to $2.6 bn and accounted for 66% of all export volume.

According to Trade Representative of Russia in India Yaroslav Tarasyuk, the main share of Russian supplies to India has been constituted by machinery ($904.6 mln, 23.2% of all export compared to 16.2% in the first half of 2017).

For the first half of 2018 Russia-India trade turnover has amounted to $5.45 bn and grown by 31% compared to the same period of 2017. Russia’s export has increased by 44% to $3.9 bn, while its import has grown by 6.7% to $1.55 bn.
