For the first five months of 2018 Russia has imported almost 106.279 tn of canned corn worth $107.8 thous.
Russia’s export of canned corn has been 40 times less than its import in terms of volume and 20 times less than its import in terms of value (namely, it has amounted to 2.775 tn of canned corn worth $5.4 thous.).
For this period canned corn has been imported by five Russian regions, namely St. Petersburg (33.1%), Moscow Region (28.4%), Moscow city (25.8%), Krasnodar Territory (11.1%) and Kaliningrad Region (1.6%).
Canned corn has been imported to Russia from such countries as China (32%), India (30%), Germany (26%), Thailand (9%) and Poland (2%).
Russia has exported canned corn to Kazakhstan.
