From January to May, 2018 Sverdlovsk Region has exported wickers and baskets made of plant materials worth $4 thous. and thus almost doubled its export volume compared to the same period of 2017.
Sverdlovsk Region accounts for 6.5% of Russia’s wicker export and ranks 6th among 16 Russian regions exporting wickers and baskets made of plant materials.
Tomsk region is the largest Russian exporter of these products (40.4%).
As for geography of Sverdlovsk region’s supplies, the main part of wickers is exported to Kazakhstan (41.9%), Belarus (39.9%) and Germany (15.9%).
