In 2017 Russia exported unwrought nickel in the value of $1.38 bn, it is a 19% decrease compared to 2016.
Thus Russia ranked only 3rd in the world for export of this production. During the last decade Russia had been the world’s leader in unwrought nickel export. For example, in 2008 Russia’s unwrought nickel export amounted to $4.91 bn, in 2010 it stood at $5.26 bn, in 2012 – at $3.72 bn, and in 2015 – at $2.58.
In 2017 the largest volume of unwrought nickel was exported by Canada ($1.43 bn) and the etherlands ($1.4 bn).
In 2017 the major share of unwrought nickel from Russia was imported to Switzerland (69.3%) and the Netherlands (28.7%). The rest 2% were imported by such countries as Finland, Italy, Belarus, Canada, Germany, China, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Estonia, the USA, Panama and the Republic to Korea.
In the first quarter of 2018 Russia has exported unwrought nickel in the value of $444 mln, it is a 20% increase compared to the same period of 2017.
