In 2017 Russia ranked 14th in the world for beer export. Russia’s beer export amounted to $195.14 mln, it is a 54% increase compared to 2016.
In 2017 the top 5 suppliers of this beverage to Russia were:
· Germany ($64.6 mln);
· the Czech Republic ($23.8 mln);
· Belgium ($20.8 mln);
· Belarus ($13.5 mln);
· Ireland ($13.3 mln).
These countries accounted for 69.8% of all Russia’s beer import.In the first quarter of 2018 the value of Russia’s beer import has stood at $53.8 mln. The main beer suppliers remain the same as in 2017.
The ministries of agriculture of Iran, Russia and Kazakhstan have concluded a trilateral memorandum of understanding on the issue of wheat trade.
Trade turnover between Russia and Germany increased 8.4% and reached nearly ˆ62 billion ($70 billion) in 2018 compared to previous year.
