Across the Board: Russia Increases Sawn Timber Exports to Japan in April 2018

Russia increased its sawn timber exports to Japan by 3.5% to 67,100 cubic meters in April 2008, while the mean price slid by 1% to $361 per cubic meter.

Japan decreased its sawn timber imports by 4.5% to 487,200 cubic meters during that period as the mean price went up by 12.8%. Japan’s imports from Canada went down by 9.5% to 143,900 cubic meters, with the price jumping by 14.7% to $403. Imports from Finland dropped by 6.1% to 74,900 cubic meters, as the price per cubic meter went up by 19.2% to $317.
