Kurgan Region’s Exports

According to the Russian Federal Customs Service’s official statistics, Kurgan Region in South-Western Siberia exported to $111m in 2016 — a 46% slump on the previous year.

Kurgan’s exports are:

• secret code products (15% of the region’s total exports);
• pharmaceuticals (13%);
• sawn timber (13%);
• structures of iron or steel (10%);
• motor vehicles component parts (7%);
• special purpose motor vehicles (6%);
• taps, cocks, valves and similar appliances for pipes (3%);
• cream, yogurt and kephir (2%);
• bread, pastry, cakes, biscuits and other bakers wares (2%);
• yeast (2%);
• pumps for liquids, with and without a measuring devices (2%);
• tractors (2%); and
• cheese and curd (2%).
