Tatarstan, the ethnic Turkic-speaking constituent republic of Russia on the Volga, exported more than 530,000 tires to $26.4m to 31 countries in the first quarter of 2018.
The key importer of Tatar tires in 2018 was Kazakhstan, which imported more than 221,000 tires to $10.6m, or 40% of the constituent republic’s total.
The other top 15 importers of Tatar tires, which accounted for 53.7% of the republic’s tire exports in January-March 2018 included Belarus (12%), Ukraine (9%), Serbia (5.1%), Czech Republic (4.2%); Romania (4.1%), Kyrgyzstan (3.2%), Lithuania (2.9%), Uzbekistan (2.7%), Moldova (2.2%),
Azerbaijan (2.2%), Bulgaria (1.8%), Tajikistan (1.7%), Armenia (1.5%), and Hungary (1.3%).
