According to trade statistics, 25 constituent regions of the Russian Federation exported yogurt last year.
The leader was Moscow Region which exported to $12.3million — 62% of total Russian yogurt exports in 2017 (which stood at $19.9million, up 4% from the previous year), followed, by a large margin, by its capital, Moscow ($3.2, or 16% of the national total), and Rostov Region ($2.3, or 11%). The fourth and fifth were Samara Region on the Volga ($654,000, or 3%) and Belgorod Region in South-Western European Russia (2% of the total to $356,000).
