The leading Russian imports in January 2018 were mobile phones: Russia imported mobiles to $523million — a 82% leap on last year. Phones were followed by pharmaceuticals ($394million, up 5% from January 2017), and aluminum oxide ($151million, a 45% increase on last year).
The fourth place was held by motor vehicles with 1,500-3,000 cc engines; the Russians imported these to $143mllion — 38% more than in the first month of 2017. Vehicles were closely followed by the fifth export of the top five — PCs under 10 kg; imports of these goods stood at $142.7million in January — a 27% increase on last year.
