According to the deputy governor, the mining companies account for about 25% of the Murmansk Gross Regional Product. In 2017, the companies’ production was worth $2.51 billion, showing an 8-percent growth year-on-year.
Those companies employ more than 20,000 people - about 8% of the labor force in the Murmansk Region, the official said.
