Russia’s tea imports stood in 2017 to $525million, dipping by 4% on the previous year.
Russia’s key suppliers of tea in 2017 were Sri Lanka, which accounted for a third (33%) of Russian imports, India (23%), Kenya (13%), China (8%), Vietnam (6%), United Arab Emirates (5%) and Indonesia (4%).
Russia also imports tea from Kazakhstan , whose exports to Russia stood at $7.1m in 2017, Germany ($7.0m), Tanzania ($6.4m), Azerbaijan ($5.1m), Zimbabwe ($3.5m), Argentina ($2.4m), Poland ($1.8m), Rwanda (1.5m), Uganda ($1.1m), Nepal ($0.9m), Malawi ($0.8m), France ($0.8m), Iran ($0.6m), Turkey ($0.5m), Georgia ($0.5m), United Kingdom ($0.4m), and Papua New Guinea ($0.4m).
