Kemerovo Region exported to $432million in the first two months of 2018 — a 22% increase on last year, said Kemerovo’s customs which processed more than 2,000 export declarations in January and February — 28% more than in the first two months of 2017.
Kemerovo’s key exports are metals and metal products (88.1%), chemicals (8.6%), food and raw agricultural produce (2.6%), and wood, pulp and paper (0.3%).
The Siberian region’s metal exports, which rose by 15.4% in the first two months of 2018, went to 30 countries, including Taiwan, Japan, the Netherlands, Turkey and the United States.
Kemerovo’s chemical exports almost tripled in January-March 2018 on last year.
The region’s food and raw agricultural exports to China, Latvia, Tajikistan, Mongolia and Uzbekistan increased by 39%.
Kemerovo exports its lumber and wood products to China and Latvia. In 2018, the region began exporting alumina-silicate cenospheres to the United States, UK, Argentina and other countries.
