Orel Region’s manufacturers exported 38,247 display refrigerators for food retail outlets to $29million in 2017 — up 43% from the previous year.
The region accounts for 37% of total Russian exports of display refrigerators, followed by its southern rival, Belgorod (29%) and one of Russia’s ethnic constituent republics, Marii-El.
Forty-four countries imported Orel’s refrigerators in 2017, including Poland (which accounted for 13.4% of the region’s exports); France (12.8%); Romania (7%); Bulgaria (6%); Norway, Italy and Ukraine (5% each); Sweden (4%); Belarus (3.5%); Greece (3.4%); Czech Republic, Spain and Croatia (3% each); Kazakhstan, Serbia and Finland (2.5% each); Turkey (2.2%); Bosnia and Herzegovina (1.9%); Armenia (1.6%); and Lithuania (1.4%).
