Japan plans to step up its cooperation with Russia in the digital economy and believes that Russia has a great potential in this area, said Ryo Minami, Director of the Europe Division of Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

“In the sphere of digital economy, Russia and Japan already have effective examples of cooperation, in particular, between the companies Fujitsu and ABBYY,” Mr. Ryo Minami stressed. “In addition, we are also developing cooperation in areas related to remote medical services and smart traffic lights,” he noted.
