The contracting of Polish air carrier LOT for private flights to Kaliningrad has become the first step to create an air hub from 'Khrabrovo'. This has been reported by Anton Alikhanov, the Governor of the Region, according to GTRK Kaliningrad.
"I have high hopes that this is the first small step to restore Khrabrovo as a full-fledged hub", Mr. Alikhanov said. "And I hope that shortly we will hold several meetings with potential Russian companies that are ready to use our airport as a specific point for developing their own destinations network."
LOT will operate 6 Warsaw-Kaliningrad-Warsaw flights.
