Japanese wind farms to be erected in Vladivostok
Several wind power plants are going to be constructed in Vladivostok. Japanese companies together with PJSC RusHydro (Russia) are going to erect them. Engineers from Japan have already selected optimal sites for the wind turbine generators on the Popova Island according to Kaori Nakajima, a representative of Japanese company Mitsui & Co.
NEDO is going to assist in training personnel to learn how to operate equipment as part of a pilot project being implemented jointly with RusHydro to demonstrate wind turbine generator systems designed for the Russian Far East. Russian engineers are expected to be invited to Japan for a technical training to learn how to operate and maintain a real wind power plant.
Japanese wind turbine generators are successfully used in the Kamchatka Territory as the Japanese party represented by such companies as NEDO, Mitsui & Co, Komaihaltec Inc. and Fuji Electric Co., Ltd launched a pilot project there last year in cooperation with the government of the Kamchatka Territory.
