The total area of Samara's first Selgros Cash&Carry hypermarket is going to be 10,000 square meters.
Selgros Cash&Carry, a German chain of small-scale wholesale hypermarkets, is expanding its geographical footprint in the Russian market. A shopping center branded as Selgros is going to be opened as part of a project aimed to comprehensively develop the "Samara Center" block on the Moscow Highway.
The total area of Samara's first Selgros Cash&Carry hypermarket is going to be 10,000 square meters. It will be the third store of Selgros chain in the Volga Region. A store was opened in Rostov-on-Don in 2013 and another one opened its doors to buyers in Volgograd in 2014. The German hypermarket chain has a total of 8 hypermarkets functioning in Russia.
The new shopping center Selgros Cash&Carry is going to be constructed within 2 years. The amount to be invested in the project is estimated at a level of RUB 1 billion. It came to light earlier that a new Selgros hypermarket was about to be completed in Tula whose opening is scheduled for 2017.
