The Japanese may develop a master plan for Vladivostok by order of the Agency for Housing Mortgage Lending.


In came to light on the 16th of November that based on the totals of the 12th meeting of the Japanese-Russian Intergovernmental Commission, a cooperation memorandum had been executed between the Agency for Housing Mortgage Lending (AHML) and Nikken Sekkei, a Japanese design and engineering bureau.


According to Alexander Plutnik, AHML's CEO, the Japanese company is going to act as the Agency's main partner in the Russian Far East. It also cannot be ruled out that the Japanese may develop a master plan for Vladivostok by AHML's order. Currently, the Agency for Housing Mortgage Lending is erecting about 400 buildings and apartments based on Ostrov cooperative society.


"Nikken Sekkei features a huge experience of operating in Russia and has heavily contributed into the development of city infrastructures in our country, being a permanent member of the team with three of their projects being rated as flagship ones," Andrei Chibis, a Deputy Director of the Russian Ministry of Construction, remarked upon the agreement.
