A meeting between Governor Alexey Gordeyev of the Voronezh Region and a delegation from Hungary headed by Ambassador Plenipotentiary to Hungary in the Russian Federation Yanosh Balla took place on November 08.
Alexey Gordeyev expressed hope that Mr. Balla's visit would lay foundation for cooperation between representatives of the business communities of Hungary and the Voronezh Region.
Yanosh Balla noted that Hungary companies were interested in finding new opportunities to develop their business activities with the Voronezh Region features necessary potential both in agriculture and industry.
Agriculture remains one of top priority areas for cooperation between Hungary and the Voronezh Region (Hungarian companies already deliver breeding stock to agricultural companies; there are also promising projects in vegetable growing and seed farming) with pharmacy, machine building, nuclear power, water treatment, science and education being not less important.
To speed up the implementation of outlined plans, Alexey Gordeyev proposed Voronezh to host a Russian-Hungarian forum to select promising cooperation areas.
Alexey Gordeyev and Yanosh Balla discussed key areas and main prospects for cooperation between the Voronezh Region and Hungary and emphasized the need to strengthen business contacts and cultural interaction.
