The representatives of the sales chain are holding negotiations with development companies to select a land plot to construct a home goods hypermarket. Castorama is considering options whose area equals the areas occupied by similar construction hypermarkets such as Leroy Merlin. It should be noted that currently, the average area of Castorama hypermarkets that have already been built in Russia is 1,000 square meters. The exact amount to be invested in the construction of the store is yet to be disclosed.
Castorama is a French company specializing in the sale of home goods, including construction related ranges of products. It is a member of British corporation called Kingfisher. It has 21 stores operating in Russia, including Moscow and Saint-Petersburg.
