The Administration of the Volgograd Region has hosted a working meeting held between representatives of a business delegation from Germany and regional officials which discussed cooperation areas, including joint tourism development. The German businessmen proposed their Volgograd Region based colleagues to find common points for joint activities in industry, agriculture, education, tourism and consumer services.

The potential foreign partners agreed to develop and supply equipment designed for agricultural processing businesses. The proposal was met with approval as the Volgograd Region required the updating and upgrading of equipment. According to Roman Bekov, the Head of the Regional Trading Committee, the German partners are interesting for the Region not only as suppliers of new machine tools. The Region is ready to engage them as investors for implementing projects in a variety of sectors of the economy. The representatives of the business delegation also offered to share their own experience in connection with FIFA 2018 to be hosted by Volgograd.
