Governor of Khabarovsk Region meets Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Denmark in Russia
On the 20th of September, the Government of the Khabarovsk Territory hosted a meeting between Governor Vyacheslav Shport and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Denmark in the Russian Federation Thomas Winkler. The Ambassador is visiting the region on a two days' business trip. The head of the diplomatic mission is accompanied by a delegation representing the Danish business community pertaining to transport, power economy, agriculture, healthcare and environment. He is going to devote several days to discuss the potential areas of cooperation together with their Khabarovsk colleagues and to visit various facilities.
Governor Vyacheslav Shport noted that so far Denmark's specific share in the Territory's foreign trade turnover was extremely small. The Region received deliveries of the Dutch equipment designed for utilities, products manufactured by chemistry, paper, cardboard, etc. At the same time, given the huge innovative potential of the Dutch economy, the Territory is interested in implementing joint projects, industrial cooperation and raising investments from Denmark.
Vyacheslav Shport emphasized that all new investor attraction mechanisms were operating in the Khabarovsk Territory, including Khabarovsk and Komsomolsk advanced development areas as well as Vanino Free Port.
