Landry’s, one of major restaurant groups in the USA, has started its operations in the Russian market.

So far, the company is looking for a partner to develop its restaurant projects under master franchise arrangements. It will be able to open facilities branded as Rainforest Cafe, Morton’s The Steakhouse, Saltgrass Steakhouse, Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, T-Rex and Cadillac Mexican Kitchen in Russia. The exact number of outlets to be launched in Moscow and other countries in a short run was promised to be disclosed after the contract is executed with a suitable restaurant-keeper.

Investments into this initiative are estimated as "millions of Dollars." Landry’s has clarified that the opening of one restaurant on a sub-franchise basis being part of the master franchise agreement will be a lot cheaper – several hundred thousands of dollars.

Tilam Fertitta, a US entrepreneur, founded Landry’s in 1980. Now it operates more than 500 restaurants under 40 brands in various countries of the world.
