The first products from a pilot greenhouse being part of a greenhouse compound project being implemented in Yakutia are expected to be received as early as December this year. Investors intend to proceed to the construction of the main compound in 2017.

According to Mayor Aisen Nikolayev of Yakutsk, the Yakutia year-round greenhouse construction project was presented at the Eastern Economic Forum and sparked great interest. "I think that the joint project of Hokkaido Corporation and Almazergienbank is going to be successful and we hope to receive the first products from the pilot greenhouse as early as in December this year. The investors intend to proceed to the construction of a large 3.5-hectare greenhouse compound next year. This is a serious project which, I hope, will be implemented by them until 2020," he said. The project will be implemented in three stages.
