Omnilife, a Mexican group specializing in the production of food supplements and beauty goods, has announced its entry into the Russian market and potential launching of a facility in Russia.
According to Jose Lewes Igera, the CEO of the group, the company is going to start selling its goods in Russia from the 25th of September. Today, Omnilife operates in 19 countries and following its entry into the Russian market in 2017 it will approach China and Nigeria.
The group's plans provide for the opening of two greenfield plants. One of these will be located in Brazil while another is going to be erected in Russia to cover the European and Asian markets and cut transportation costs. Omnilife's sales in 2015 totaled $0.8 billion and the group is among Mexico's top 200.
