Changan, China, intends to start manufacturing its cars in Russia. Assembling operations will be carried out at IRITO plant in the Lipetsk Region. This information was voiced by An San Lin, the CEO of Changan, when delivering his speech at a Moscow based showroom.
The production will be launched at the end of this year. So far, the company plans to assemble only one model, CS35 crossover, using IRITO plant. This car is the most popular among all Changan's models offered at the Russian market.
As at today, the price for CS35 ranges from RUB 747,900 to RUB 870,900 depending on configuration. A pilot batch of CS35s has already rolled off IRITO's production line. One of the cars was exhibited at the Moscow showroom.
