The first phase of a plant designed to manufacture innovative 30MWh lithium batteries has been commissioned in the capital of Chechnya. The project was implemented through the joint efforts of Russian and Korean investors.
The amount invested in the project totaled RUB 570 million. Investors include LLC Chechenneftekhimprom and KOKAM (Korea). By the way, the specialists of the new enterprise were trained in South Korea.
The second phase of the project is going to be much larger. E.g., its capacity will be 125 MWh p.a. with investments reaching RUB 7,600 million. The total number of workers to be employed by the facility and related sectors is going to be 800 persons.
