The provisional Governor Sergey Morozov visited CTC Metallokonstruktsiya JSC and discussed future development of the plant with its management.

"Metallokonstruktsiya JSC is a real champion of the Ulyanovsk region. For a very short period of time it has developed from a small entity into a large international one. In addition, we can see that this business is also socially oriented. The regional government is ready to give all necessary support to such enterprises. And our main goal is to show this example of successful development to others, so to increase the number of such national champions in the Ulyanovsk region", - emphasized the head of the region.

According to the employees of the enterprise, today the plant is among the leaders in Russia and in a number of neighboring countries on production of restraining and limiting pedestrian barriers to provide safety of road infrastructure, lighting poles, communications towers, composite corrugated constructions, and metal bars for railway contact lines. The enterprise has branch offices in all major cities of the Russian Federation, as well as in the neighboring countries and Europe.

"Currently construction of a new workshop for hot galvanizing of production is in its final stage. About 60 people will work here. More than 800 million rubles were invested into the project. The new workshop efficiency will be about 300 tons of galvanized goods a day. This will enable the plant to meet its own requirements for galvanizing of the manufacturing output taking into account the growing production level. It will also help to reduce production costs by 15% by increasing its competitiveness. The new workshop will allow to increase the amount of end-product, and thanks to this we will have every chance to double tax deductions into the regional budget", - noted Andrey Shcherbina, the Director-General of CTC Metallokonstruktsiya JSC.

In the spring of 2016, production of the world famous barriers "Transbarrier" was moved to the plant. The line is placed at a site of box sections in a steelworks workshop. The production capacity allows to manufacture up to 90 tons of products a day. This is about six kilometers of barriers.

According to the Deputy Head of the Department of Industry of the Ministry for Industry, Construction, Housing and Public Utilities, and Transport of the Ulyanovsk region Sergey Savelyev, for the first six months of 2016, the enterprise shipped products amounting to more than 1.5 billion rubles. This is 17% higher than in the same period in 2015.

"For the first half of the year the enterprise has transferred 63.7 million rubles of taxes into the regional budget. In addition, the average salary level at CTC Metallokonstruktsiya JSC is one of the highest in the region", - commented Sergey Savelyev.
