Cows&Co specializing in the manufacturing of premium class products is considering opportunities for arranging a facility in the Leningrad Region to produce handmade cheeses based on its own recipes. This was reported by its representatives during a meeting held with the Administration of the Regional Agriculture and Fishery Committee.
The milk processing company from Scotland intends to initially produce about 100 tonnes of semi-hard ready cheeses per annum in the Region. Should their efforts succeed in the local market, the investors are ready to expand their facility and erect their own commercial dairy farm.
The meeting resulted in the parties agreeing to start joint work to select potential sites to host the cheese factory.
