Irkutsk Region negotiating with Chinese entity to erect gas chemical facility

The Irkutsk Region and a major Chinese gas chemical company are negotiating to execute a memorandum to construct a gas chemical facility in the Region as early as autumn this year. The Chinese company has already prepared a design and feasibility study. This was a topic of discussions held at a meeting between Governor Sergey Levchenko of the Irkutsk Region and Tsao Yunlun, the PRC's Consul General in Irkutsk. The Governor accepted the delivery of the exequatur issued by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs from Mr. Yunlun in connection with the start of his consulate mission to the Regional Center, according to the Press Office of the Regional Government.

We remind that preliminary agreements were reached with Chinese partners to jointly build a gas chemical facility in Usoliye-Sibirskoye during the first Russian-Chinese construction forum that was hosted by Moscow in March this year. The negotiations are ongoing with Sinopec.
