The erection of a timber processing facility is going to start in autumn in the Novosibirsk Region. The timber processing facility will be constructed by AVIC Forestry, China. The area where the Chinese businessmen will deal with timber logging is situated in the northern part of the Novosibirsk Region. Today, the Region's timber logging sector annually logs 4.8 million cubic meters while 1.3-1.5 million cubic meters are used in fact. At that, birch trees are not harvested subsequently rotting in the forest.
According to some sources, project investments are going to exceed RUB 8 billion. The facility will comprise 2 plants capable of outputting 140 and 70 million cubic meters of ready products to be supplied to China. The new production complex will create in the Region approximately 4 thousand new jobs.
