A factory that will manufacture construction mixes is going to be launched in Chapayevsk until the end of this year, as reported to Governor Nikolay Merkushkin of the Samara Region by Nikolaus Knauf, a co-owner of KNAUF International Group and Honorary Consul to Russia in Germany, in the course of a working meeting.

The appropriate agreement creating a joint-venture was executed two years ago with the German investments totaling about a billion Rubles. The advantages of arranging the production in the Region include a possibility of mining raw materials on an open-pit basis.

Despite the challenging economic situation and some slowdown in the construction business, Knauf branded products will be of demand, as the Region's Governor emphasized when discussing prospects of implementing integrated residential development projects in the Samara Region.
