As part of his visit to Novosibirsk, Ambassador Plenipotentiary to Israel in Russia Zvi Heifetz, has outlined areas for cooperation with the region. The agricultural sector will be one of such areas for cooperation. The Ambassador considers the development of eco-products and organic products as an area of special interest.

The Ambassador Plenipotentiary also took interest in the startup projects elaborated by Akademgorodok and offered the Government of the Novosibirsk Region to combine efforts to promote them at international markets.

"Novosibirsk can grant Israel access to a sales market in the east and we can do the same for the west. This is not so much about the conservative 'sale and buy' approach as deeper relations we are interested in. A month ago, we executed with a Russian Ministry a cooperation agreement pertaining to agriculture and now the Israeli party must choose Russian regions where such cooperation will take place in the first instance. I see Siberia as a region featuring enormous potential to develop projects of such type", the Ambassador summarized.
