Auchan to open Russia's first Drogerie store Lillapois Beauty in August

Auchan Retail Russia (owned by Auchan, a French retail chain) intends to open its Russia's first store of the Drogerie format to be called Lillapois Beauty to sell care products, decorative cosmetics and perfumery products.

Auchan Retail Russia (owned by Auchan, a French retail chain) intends to open its Russia's first store of the Drogerie format to be called Lillapois Beauty to sell care products, decorative cosmetics and perfumery products. The store is expected to be opened in TROYKA Retail Center in Moscow, according to an announcement published by the company.


The area of the trade floor will be about 200 sq.m. with the product range exceeding 9,000 items.


Russia will become the second country where Auchan Retail has a footprint to host a Drogerie store. The first Lillapois store was opened in Italy in January 2014. Today Lillapois comprises more than 46 outlets.


French retail chain Auchan has been operating in the Russian market since 2002. As at year-end 2015, the company's Russian chain comprised 92 stores – 58 classic hypermarkets, 27 hypermarkets of 'Auchan City' format and seven 'Nasha Raduga' hypermarkets. According to SPARK-Interfax, LLC Auchan's revenues in 2014 were RUB 313.6 billion. (up 17% y.o.y.) with its net profits being RUB 11.9 billion.
