Moovit, an Israeli startup, is going to open a representative office in Russia to develop a service of the same name offering trip planning opportunities embracing the local market.
According to Roy Bik, a co-founder of the company, the application has already been put into operation in Moscow and Saint Petersburg. It is used by 60 thousand owners of iOS, Android and Windows based devices. However, all functions are yet to be made available to them. In particular, the users can plan a trip by mass transport based on the schedules accessible via the application. The application will now offer additional real-time information about the movement of transport and users will have an option to warn each other of various troubles on the road.
