Vladivostok's Free Port to feature two new terminals
Far East Development Corporation has executed two agreements contemplating business activities in the territory allocated to Vladivostok Free Port with LLC Vostok LPG and LLC Terminal for a total of RUB 4.6 billion. The both companies will develop logistics in the Primorye Territory.
LLC Vostok LPG is going to construct in the Khasansky District, Primorye Territory, a sea terminal and infrastructure for supplying liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). LPG will be supplied to the countries of the Asia-Pacific Region by sea. The facility is expected to create 119 new jobs.
The second project has been initiated by LLC Terminal and contemplates the creation of a dry container terminal in the Artem Municipal District. It will comprise a 4,000 sq.m. bulk storage, railway lines and a 20,000+ sq.m. outdoor storage designed for general cargoes.
The terminal will feature favorable location as it will be situated below Vladivostok and Artem, in close vicinity to Uglovaya Railway Station. The project allows combining truck, aviation, railway and multimodal transports and facilitates the reduction of load on major transport hubs available in the Primorye Territory.
To date, JSC Far East Development Corporation has received 86 orders from potential residents of Vladivostok's Free Port providing for a total amount of around RUB 161 billion.
