The business trip of the Khabarovsk Territory's delegation headed by Governor Vyacheslav Shport to Jilin province continues. The parties have agreed to more intensively promote tourist opportunities offered by the two regions. This will be done, in particular, through the implementation of an Agreement on Trade, Economic, Research, Technical and Humanitarian Cooperation between the Khabarovsk Territory and Jilin province.

As Sergey Paltov, the Consul General of Russia in Shenyang, emphasized, the availability of a Khabarovsk-Changchun flight will have a favorable effect on the growth of tourist flows in the both directions. This flight was launched in February 2016 and gradually becomes popular among Khabarovsk natives.

"There is a great deal of natural reserves and favorable environmental situation in the vicinity of Changchun, especially in the neighborhood of the Changbaishan mountains. Up-to-date mountain skiing infrastructure has been created there, there is an airport offering direct flights from Changchun, Shenyang and Beijing", Sergey Paltov noted.

He also emphasized that it is necessary to also boost the tourist flow originating from Jilin to the Khabarovsk Territory and to work at improving tourist infrastructure.

Anyway, the first steps are already being made in this area. In late May, Changchun was visited by a big tourist business delegation and representatives of leading mass media organizations of the Khabarovsk Territory. They took part in a tourist development conference where the development of automotive tourism between Jilin province, Primorye Territory and Khabarovsk Territory was discussed as a brand new area for the two countries.
