Swedish farmers plan to establish and develop meat production in Chuvashia based on Swedish technology

On the 1st of June, a meeting took place in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Chuvash Republic with farmers from Sweden, founders of LLC Svebrata and LLC Korol Myaso, who plan to establish and develop grain crop production in the Republic based on Swedish technology as well as beef farming.

On the 1^st of June, a meeting took place in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Chuvash Republic with farmers from Sweden, founders of LLC Svebrata and LLC Korol Myaso, who plan to establish and develop grain crop production in the Republic based on Swedish technology as well as beef farming.

LLC Sevbrata plans to cultivate 1,643 hectares of lands this year. A 459.10-hectare plot of agricultural lands was leased out to the company in the Urmary District. In 2016, the company's investments into the Republic have already totaled more than RUB 30 million. Fields are cultivated by 410 h.p. NewHolland tractor, a Vaderstad-500 disk cultivator and a VaderstadSpirit sowing machine.

LLC Korol Myaso is currently considering options for arranging a cattle meat production facility in the Urmary and Kanash Districts. The company's plans include the renting of 2,000 hectares of lands and purchasing of a young cattle stock. This will be followed by the construction of a slaughterhouse and arrangement of own meat processing production.

During a meeting held with the Regional Minister of Agriculture followed by field visits, the formalization and leasing of agricultural lands and rules to be complied with by foreign investors and rural settlements' administrations for this purpose were discussed. The parties agreed to hold in-depth consultations to take account of legal aspects associated with the execution of title documents to lands.
