Ruspole Brands (Russia), a jarred food manufacturer branded as "Uncle Vanya" and Develey Holding GmbH, one the EU largest manufacturers of sauces and dressings, have created a joint venture to produce tomato paste in the Volgograd Region.
The partners plan to make tomato paste in the Region and have already planted a pilot field of tomatoes in the Leninsky District of the Region.
Apart from Uncle Vanya branded products, Ruspole Brands also produces Corrado olives, canned vegetables La Corra and "Dlya Dobroy Kukhni" and "Vkyusy" branded catchups and sauces. Develey makes mustard, dressings for salads and sauces, exporting its products to 65 countries. Develey's Russian Chuvashia-based plant was commissioned in 2012 and a total of RUB 1 billion was invested into the project. The site as well as other facilities of the company also supply sauces and mustard to McDonald`s restaurants.
