Another project involving cooperation between the Chelyabinsk Region and Chinese small and medium-size businesses contemplates the construction of a high-speed highway connecting Chelyabinsk and Yekaterinburg. A concessionaire is now being looked for.

The agribusiness and use of investment opportunities offered by private and public technology parks hosted by the Region may be other points of contact for mutually fruitful partnership. More specifically, the area of the Chelyabinsk Region hosts the South Ural Transport and Logistics Hub whose use allowed reducing delivery time for Chinese cargoes to seven days.
