The first foundation stone has been laid in Saratov for a future plant to be constructed by SNF Vostok (a member of SNF) to produce acrylamide and polyacrylamide.

The future plant will be capable of producing up to 150,000 tonnes of acrylamide and polyhacrylamide per annum. The new facility is expected to offer new 160 job opportunities.

To implement the project, SNF has acquired two land plots having a total area of about 20 hectares together with infrastructural buildings located on them.

Today, polyacrylamides are supplied to the Russian market from SNF plants located in France, the USA and China, but after the Saratov-based facility is launched, the situation will reverse. The new facility will be constructed on the industrial site of LLC Saratovorgsyntez (an oil and gas asset owned by PJSC LUKOIL) selected by SNF in connection with the fact that LLC Saratovorgsyntez is Russia's only plant producing acrylonitrile, a raw material required to produce polyacrylamide.

SNF started its business in Saint Etienne (France) on 01 May 1968. In 1978, SPCM S.A. (SNF Group) was founded in Andrezieux. Currently, the Group's member companies manufacture their products in various countries of the globe such as France, the USA, China, Korea and Brazil.
