Japanese NRI ready to cooperate with Yakutia
On the 25th of May, Yury Zabolev, the First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) to the Russian President, held negotiations with Akira Ivata, the Director of the Moscow Branch of Nomura Research Institute, Dmitry Savvin, the Institute's Director of Projects, and Moisey Furshik, a Managing Partner of FOK.
The Parties discussed cooperation options for developing a regional development strategy, raising investments for industrial development, introducing IT technology and creating technology parks and innovative centers in Yakutia.
Mr. Akira Ivata said that Nomura Research Institute is ready to carry out vast scientific researches to improve the effectiveness of Yakutia related development strategies amid the global financial and economic crisis.
Nomura Research Institute is Japan's major research organization (with the number of employees exceeding 5,000 persons) providing management, advisory, distribution services, appraising large-scale infrastructural projects and offering market analyses for large Japanese businesses. It serves as a "guide" for major Japanese businesses in external markets. In 2008, the Institute opened its branch in Moscow and currently intensively cooperates with federal and regional government entities and administrations of major towns.
