Chuvashia's potential presented in Japanese Embassy

A presentation showing the economic and investment potential of the Chuvash Republic was held in the Embassy of Japan in Russia on the 19th of May. The Region was represented by Governor Mikhail Ignatiyev, Minister of Economy Vladimir Avrelkin as well as by corporate CEOs.

A presentation showing the economic and investment potential of the Chuvash Republic was held in the Embassy of Japan in Russia on the 19^th of May. The Region was represented by Governor Mikhail Ignatiyev, Minister of Economy Vladimir Avrelkin as well as by corporate CEOs.

Before the start of the event, Mikhail Ignatiyev met Toyohisa Kodzuki, the Ambassador Plenipotentiary to Japan in Russia, and Takafumi Nakai, the Director of the Moscow Representative Office of the Japanese Association for Trading with Russia and New Independent States. Toyohisa Kodzuki noted that Japanese entrepreneurs are interested in developing their businesses in Russia. According to him, the presentation held by the Chuvash Republic and Governor's participation in it constitute an ideal opportunity to get acquainted with the Region and its potential as well as to establish cooperation.

Vladimir Avrelkin told members of the Japanese business club about the major investment projects implemented in the Region and involving foreign technology and investments. He emphasized that industrial parks featuring engineering infrastructure are being constructed to create favorable conditions for investors and augment Chuvashia's industrial potential. "Tax preferences have been established for foreign investors and statutory instruments have been created to protect their rights", the Vice Prime Minister noted.
