An Austrian company plans to create a joint venture with KAMAZ to be located in Naberezhniye Chelny. An indicative agreement was reached to that effect during a visit made by a Tatarstan delegation headed by Rustam Minnikhanov to Austria. The working visit was also participated by Sergey Kogogin, the CEO of PJSC KAMAZ.


The trip's totals were summarized at a briefing meeting held at the headquarters of the Tatarstant Government. Talia Minullina, the Director of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, told that an indicative agreement had been reached for launching a joint-venture facility in Naberezhniye Chelny to manufacture bodies for fire-engines.


"The Austrian company SIMONEX manufactures automated bodies for fire-engines. Cooperation with KAMAZ has been planned", Ms. Minnullina said.


Furthermore, a large manufacturer of elevating equipment is considering localization options in Tatarstan with Alabuga Special Economic Zone being one of available options. Austrian companies also said they are ready to cooperate with Tatarstan in oil processing and petrochemistry, manufacturing of equipment, machine building, robotic technology, power energy, IT, pharmacy, and even meat and milk processing.
