A casting and mechanical plant will be constructed in the Chelyabinsk Region. The investment project is going to be implemented jointly with a Czech company in the city of Magnitogorsk. This topic was expanded at a meeting held with Governor Boris Dubrovsky. The facility will manufacture foundation slabs for the machine tool sector. Kovosvit, a Russian and Czech company, is a co-founder. The European company features technical competencies in the project.

The facility will be located on the skirts of Magnitogorsk. A 40-hectare site has already been selected to host it. The Region's Governor invited stakeholders to implement the project in the format of industrial park. "Such format implies extra tax exemptions which is attractive for investors", Mr. Dubrovsky noted.

"The Governor has ordered that an industrial park option be reviewed. This model enables the compensation of capital outlays required to connect the industrial site to engineering infrastructure at the expense of the federal budget. Our next objective is design development and attraction of another major partner", Anatoly Lobko, the Director of the Regional Agency for Investment Development, said.
