A large full-cycle machine tool factory will be erected in the Sverdlovsk Region. It will be constructed in close vicinity to the Novosverdlovskaya TPP. Design operations are currently ongoing and a sketch design of the new facility has been developed outlining process stages. The design operations are expected to be completed at the end of the year while construction work is planned to be commenced next year.
The project is being implemented by KR Prom, a Russian company, jointly with TOS Varnsdorf, a Czech entity. They have already incorporated a joint venture named GRS Ural that will assemble horizontal boring and bridge-type mill machining centers. Current plans provide for greenfield construction.
