Dairy cows from Netherlands arrive at Nizhniaya Tavda

600 Holstein Frisian cows have arrived at Nizhniaya Tavda (Tyumen Region) from the Netherlands. The foreigners have received accommodation in PK Moloko Cattle Farm.

The company has already purchased 500 bred heifers in 2016. The company now has more than 7,000 heads of cattle including more than 2,000 cows.

In 2015, PK Moloko commissioned two cowsheds as part of the third phase of its livestock unit. The company has opened another farm in Borovlyanka village, Goluishmanovsky District, in 2016 that will supply raw materials for the Nizhniaya Tavda Milk Plant. The new string will increase available milk processing capacity from 70 to 100 tonnes per day and the plant will have been enabled to process 130 tonnes of milk by the autumn this year.

The erection of the plant was supported by the Government of the Tyumen Region with the Agroindustrial Complex Department's investments totaling RUB 60 million.
