Novosibirsk Government discussing cooperation with Indonesia
On the 15th of April this year, ahead of the forthcoming Russia-ASEAN Business Forum, the Regional Government held a meeting between Ambassador Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Indonesia in the Russian Federation and Belarus Republic Mohamad Vahid Supriadi and First Deputy Chairman of the Novosibirsk Region Government Vladimir Znatkov.
In the course of the working meeting, the parties discussed the expansion of business contacts in economy, tourism and culture.
According to the Regional Government's Press Office, at the meeting, Vladimir Znatkov emphasized the importance of strengthening relations between the Novosibirsk Region and countries belonging to Asia-Pacific Region, focusing on the positive effect of promoting the tourist potentials of Russia and Indonesia at international exhibition events. He also confirmed that the Regional Government is interested in presenting the Novosibirsk Region's economic and tourist potential at events to be arranged under the auspices of the Indonesian Embassy in Russia.
The Ambassador, in his turn, noted that there are positive trends in the Russian tourists' visits to Indonesia that have increased by 25% and expressed a hope that investments and trade will show a similar growth. He further expressed his satisfaction with the outcomes of his visit and mentioned the Region's high potential in terms of cooperation in tourism, transfer of technology, implementation of investment projects and expansion of bilateral trade connections.
